A Message from the Pro Grand Master
Most Worshipful Bro The Marquess of Northampton
It is important that our members have the opportunity to discover more about our
history, rituals and traditions. The experience of freemasonry and its values is
something that is becoming a more pressing need if we want those who join us to
continue their membership. In order to explain freemasonry better to those with
enquiring minds we need to make information about the Order more widely
available. This competition is designed to do this in a style which takes full
advantage of modern internet technology.
I know that both in this country and around the world there are already many
masons who deliver talks to their local lodges. This competition gives them a
means of making their efforts more widely available. I would encourage all those
who have good ideas but not known how or where to get them into the public
domain, to take part in this venture.
Writing papers on freemasonry is not the domain of experienced masons only and I
would particularly encourage newer masons to enter. We may all gain a fresh
perspective through the eyes of those who are younger than us in terms of
masonic experience.
I am delighted again to give this venture my wholehearted support.
